The Ladies Irish Open is part of the Ladies European Tour. Supported by Fáilte Ireland, it returns to Killeen Castle Golf Club in County Meath in 2012.

In 2010 and 2011 the Ladies Irish Open played a key part in the exciting build-up to The 2011 Solheim Cup, giving leading players a preview of the Killeen Castle course.

A glittering field is guaranteed as the Open returns to the Jack Nicklaus-designed course for the third year in a row.

The championship is contested over 54 strokeplay holes, with 60 players surviving the two-round cut.

Killeen Castle is situated in a 600-acre estate close to the picturesque village of Dunsany in County Meath. The area also hosts some of the country’s most spectacular historic landmarks, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site Newgrange and the Hill of Tara.

On a mostly sunny, bright day, World no. 3 Suzann Pettersen followed her course-record 63 by almost equalling that record with a superb 64 to win The 2011 Irish Ladies Open, supported by Fáilte Ireland for a second time. Join the Open this year at Killeen Castle, famed venue of The 2011 Solheim Cup, to see who will be 2012's winner. There will be lots for the family to do at the event with a farmer's market, Castle Village and a kids' golf zone all on site. Enjoy a festival of world class golf with Europe's finest returning to the venue of their historic Solheim Cup win.
